Weinhofmeisterei Mathias Hirtzberger Grüner Veltliner Treu Federspiel 2025 0,75l

Grüner Veltliner Treu Federspiel from Weinhofmeisterei Mathias Hirtzberger shows the Wachau in its classic guise. The grapes come from terraced vineyards around Wösendorf and Joching, where poor gneiss soils and winds from the Danube give freshness and grip. On the nose citrus fruit meets pear and yellow apple, joined by white pepper, a hint of tobacco and fine herbal spice. On the palate Treu is medium in weight, juicy and precise, with clear fruit, well integrated acidity and a gentle creamy texture. Salty minerality stretches through to the lively, peppery finish. A versatile Federspiel that pairs with fried chicken, pan-fried fish, risotto or a traditional Heuriger platter just as well as with relaxed evenings among friends.

Stainless steel tank ageing emphasizes pure fruit, fresh acidity and a mineral drive.
