Bodega Piedra Negra Alta Colección Malbec comes from high-altitude vineyards in the Uco Valley and highlights the fresh, precise side of Argentinian Malbec. The bouquet is filled with dark berries, black cherry and violets, joined by hints of pepper, gentle smokiness and a touch of coffee. On the palate the wine is juicy and concentrated yet elegant, with pure fruit, ripe tannins and vibrant acidity. Subtle notes of cocoa and spice underline the mineral-driven character. The finish is medium to long, combining freshness with fine-grained structure. A modern Malbec that works beautifully on its own or alongside grilled meats and flavourful pasta dishes.
Part of the wine matures in third-use barriques, adding a subtle oak note without masking the fruit.
