Botran Ron de Guatemala No. 15 Reserva Especial is a solera rum whose components spend many years in different types of casks. Distillates made from virgin cane honey mature in ex–American whiskey, sherry and port barrels at high altitude, giving the rum an especially balanced structure. The nose reveals exotic fruit, vanilla, caramel and delicate oak. On the palate it is velvety and full-bodied, with plenty of ripe fruit, sugarcane notes, sweet spice and well-integrated vanilla and oak tones. The texture is smooth and rounded yet retains energy and tension. The finish is long, fruit-driven and spicy, with a lingering sugarcane character. A distinctive aged rum that excels neat and works beautifully in classic rum cocktails.
