Castellare di Castellina Chianti Classico 2023 0,375l
Chianti Classico from Castellare di Castellina is a benchmark wine for the appellation, made mainly from Sangiovese with a small share of Canaiolo. After fermentation in stainless steel it ages in used barriques and then in bottle. In the glass it shows bright ruby colour with purple highlights. The nose combines sour cherry, red plum and violets with dried herbs and a touch of tobacco. On the palate it is medium‑bodied, juicy and precise, supported by lively acidity and fine tannins. The dry, elegantly spicy finish makes it a versatile partner for pasta with ragù, grilled meats, wood‑fired pizza or mature hard cheeses.
In the Chianti Classico heartland of Toscana, Castellare di Castellina sits in a natural amphitheatre: south‑east exposure, vineyards around 370 metres and lean hillside soils deliver cool nights and measured ripening....
