Chianti Classico Riserva Il Poggiale from Castellare di Castellina comes from high vineyards with limestone and galestro soils and excellent sun exposure. The blend is centred on Sangiovese with small portions of local varieties and spends an extended period in wood and bottle. The bouquet reveals dark cherry, red berries and violets alongside dried herbs, tobacco and spice. On the palate the Riserva is dense and structured yet refined, driven by vibrant acidity and firm, ripe tannins. A long, savoury, mineral finish makes Il Poggiale a superb partner for braised beef, game, lamb and aged Tuscan cheeses.

Ageing in barriques with a share of new oak adds a fine, structured oak note beneath the elegant Riserva style.
