Clemente VII Chianti Classico from Castelli del Grevepesa is a pure Sangiovese sourced from selected sites across the Chianti zone. Maturation in large casks and partly in barriques allows fruit and structure to meld harmoniously. The bouquet shows intense forest fruit and cherry aromas wrapped in vanilla, spice and a hint of toast. On the palate Clemente VII is full-bodied, with ripe, almost sweet-feeling tannins, lively acidity and appealing depth. The finish is velvety, spicy and persistent. This is a characterful Chianti Classico that pairs beautifully with bistecca alla fiorentina, slow-cooked meat dishes, richly sauced pasta and aged Pecorino.

Ageing for 12 months in mainly Slavonian oak and barrique gives the Chianti Classico fullness, vanilla and spice notes.
