Champagne Krug Champagne Brut 2006 0,75l

Krug Grande Cuvée is the signature Brut of the Reims house founded by Joseph Krug in 1843. Each Édition is composed anew from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier, drawing on reserve wines from several years to build breadth and balance. The style is rich yet energetic, carried by fine, lively bubbles and remarkable freshness. Aromas move through ripe and dried fruit, citrus, brioche and gentle toasted notes. Hazelnut, almond, honey and pastry nuances add depth on the palate. The finish is generous, precise and persistent. It is equally at home as an aperitif or alongside oysters, mature Comté, grilled prawns and refined savoury dishes.

The grape variety: Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is a refined red grape known for red cherry, raspberry, floral notes, spice and silky tannins. It is most famous in Burgundy but thrives in many cool-climate regions.

It pairs beautifully with duck, roast chicken, mushrooms, salmon, pork and game birds. Its fascination lies in finesse, fragrance and the way it expresses origin. Pinot Noir
