Château Barbe Blanche is located in the heart of the Lussac Saint-Emilion appellation on a limestone plateau that offers ideal conditions for Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Vines grow on clay-limestone slopes with good sun exposure, producing ripe, concentrated fruit. The wine is vinified in a modern style with partial oak ageing to combine structure and finesse. The bouquet reveals blackcurrant, blackberry and plum notes together with hints of vanilla, coffee and gentle toast. On the palate Château Barbe Blanche is full-bodied, round and supple, with mellow tannins and a long, fruit-driven finish – a characterful yet very approachable right-bank Bordeaux.
Ageing in French oak supports the rounded texture and gives the wine subtle toasted notes.
