Château Bel Air-Monange Saint Emilion 1gcc. 2021 0,75l

Château Bélair-Monange occupies one of the highest points of the Saint-Emilion limestone plateau and combines vineyards on the plateau, slopes and terraces. The vines, mostly Merlot with a share of Cabernet Franc, grow in limestone and blue clay over limestone, bringing freshness, minerality and impressive depth to the wine. Each plot is vinified separately before ageing in French oak barrels. The bouquet opens with ripe dark fruit, plum and blackberry, joined by floral nuances, sweet spice and a touch of graphite. On the palate Bélair-Monange is concentrated yet silky, with powerful but polished tannins and a very long, focused, mineral finish that expresses its exceptional terroir.

Maturation in French oak gives the medium-bodied Saint-Émilion spicy depth; the source lists only an ageing range.
