| Ch.Beychevelle Saint Julien – A true delight from St. Julien | |
| Château Beychevelle is one of the emblematic estates of Saint-Julien, its vineyards stretching down towards the Gironde on deep gravel soils. Cabernet Sauvignon dominates the plantings, complemented by Merlot and a touch of Petit Verdot, and strict parcel selection underpins the wine’s precision. After fermentation it is aged in French oak barrels, a high proportion of them new. The bouquet offers blackberry, black cherry and cassis, framed by notes of violets, cedar, tobacco and subtle toast. On the palate Château Beychevelle is silky, concentrated and fresh, with ripe tannins, refined structure and a long, gently chalky finish – a classic, finely wrought Saint-Julien 4ème Cru Classé. | |
