Château Cambon la Pelouse Haut Médoc 2018 0,75l

Château Cambon la Pelouse is a Cru Bourgeois estate in the southern Haut-Médoc, ideally positioned between Margaux and Pauillac on deep gravel soils close to the Gironde. The vineyard is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a small share of Petit Verdot, and benefits from a mild microclimate that favours even ripening. According to producer notes the wine offers aromas of blackcurrant, dark berries and plum with floral tones, pepper and a touch of vanilla from barrel ageing. On the palate it is juicy and medium- to full-bodied, with fine tannins, fresh acidity and a long, fruity, gently spicy finish – a classic, approachable Haut-Médoc from the Left Bank.

The grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is a world-famous red grape producing dark, structured wines with cassis, blackberry, cedar, firm tannins and ageing potential.

The variety is exciting because it combines power with recognisable character. Pair Cabernet Sauvignon with steak, roast beef, lamb, venison, burgers, mushrooms and hard cheeses. Cabernet Sauvignon
