Les Bonnes from Château d’Agel comes from organically farmed vineyards in the Minervois, in the Cesse valley at the foot of the Montagne Noire. The vines grow on stony clay-limestone soils rich in pebbles and sandstone, perfectly suited to a Mediterranean blend of Syrah, Grenache, Carignan and Mourvèdre. The bouquet offers ripe blackcurrant, black cherry and raspberry wrapped in garrigue herbs and subtle spice. On the palate the wine is juicy and rounded, with supple tannins, refreshing lift and a fruity, persistent finish – a versatile Minervois for grilled meats, tapas or mature cheeses.
