Château d'Issan Margaux 3cc. 2017 0,75l

Château d’Issan is a 3rd Growth estate in Margaux, located just a short distance from the Gironde estuary. Around forty hectares of vines grow on gravel mounds over clay and limestone and are planted mainly with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The grapes are picked by hand, vinified plot by plot and matured in French oak barrels. The bouquet reveals cassis, black cherry and plum with violet, cedar and graphite notes. On the palate Château d’Issan is silky and precise yet powerful, with fine, polished tannins, cool freshness and a long, classically styled Margaux finish.

The grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is a world-famous red grape producing dark, structured wines with cassis, blackberry, cedar, firm tannins and ageing potential.

The variety is exciting because it combines power with recognisable character. Pair Cabernet Sauvignon with steak, roast beef, lamb, venison, burgers, mushrooms and hard cheeses. Cabernet Sauvignon
