Château Duhart Milon Pauillac 4cc. 2018 0,75l

Cabernet Sauvignon sets the tone in this poised Pauillac, while Merlot brings a softer, rounder dimension. The vineyard forms an almost continuous block on the Milon hillside, west of Château Lafite Rothschild, over sandy gravel with varying clay content. Duhart-Milon is Pauillac's only Fourth Growth in the 1855 Classification. Its style is deep and earthy, with a firm backbone and recurring nuances of cassis, dark berries, graphite and cedar. Fine tannins and freshness lend precision without excess weight. Ageing lasts 10 to 18 months, depending on the harvest, in oak barrels from the Domaines cooperage. Roast beef and lamb make particularly harmonious partners.

The grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is a world-famous red grape producing dark, structured wines with cassis, blackberry, cedar, firm tannins and ageing potential.
