Château Pichon Longueville Baron Pauillac 2cc. 2020 1,5l

Château Pichon Longueville Baron is a celebrated second growth in Pauillac and often described as a classic “super second”. Deep gravel soils are planted predominantly with cabernet sauvignon, complemented by merlot and a small share of cabernet franc and petit verdot. The wine displays intense aromas of cassis, blackberry and dark cherry, framed by cedar, tobacco, spice and a touch of cigar box. On the palate it is powerful, concentrated and precise, with fine tannins and impressive length. Bright acidity and mineral lift underpin its outstanding cellaring potential and make it a majestic partner for grand meat and game dishes.

Ageing for 18 months in French oak shapes the wine and highlights its complex, dark-fruited Pauillac character.
