Château Clerc Milon Pauillac 5cc. 2021 0,75l

Château Clerc Milon is a 5th Growth Pauillac estate owned by the Baron Philippe de Rothschild family, overlooking the Gironde from the Mousset ridge close to Mouton and Lafite. Its 40-plus hectares of vineyards are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and a small share of Carmenère on deep gravel over limestone. The grapes are hand-picked and vinified plot by plot in a state-of-the-art vat room before 16 to 18 months of ageing in oak barrels. The bouquet reveals cassis, dark berries and cherry with notes of violet, graphite, cedar and subtle spice. On the palate Château Clerc Milon is concentrated and silky, with ripe tannins, vibrant freshness and a long, refined finish that captures the elegance of Pauillac.

Eighteen months in oak with 30% new wood round out the powerful structure and accentuate elegant spice.
