Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande Pauillac 2cc. 2020 0,75l
Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande is an iconic Pauillac second growth and one of Bordeaux’s famous “super seconds”. The estate lies on gravel slopes opposite Pichon Baron and today its vineyards are planted with a high proportion of cabernet sauvignon alongside merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot. The grand vin combines power and charm, showing aromas of cassis, blackberry and dark cherry with notes of violets, cedar and fine spice. On the palate it is silky, precise and very long, with ripe, finely woven tannins and fresh acidity. This refined elegance makes it a classic partner for lamb, game, roasted meats and elaborate gastronomic menus.
Between the Gironde estuary and the gravel ridges of Pauillac, Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande has carried a 17th‑century legacy into the 1855 Classification as a Deuxième Grand Cru Classé—power refined by poise, never by excess....
The Great Vertical Tasting: A wine through the mirror of time.
Anyone who compares wine across several vintages discovers its development in a particularly impressive way. A vertical tasting reveals how style, maturity, structure and aromas change over time – and helps to find the right vintage for personal taste or a special occasion.
The grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Sauvignon is a world-famous red grape producing dark, structured wines with cassis, blackberry, cedar, firm tannins and ageing potential.
The variety is exciting because it combines power with recognisable character. Pair Cabernet Sauvignon with steak, roast beef, lamb, venison, burgers, mushrooms and hard cheeses.
