Château Recougne Bordeaux Blanc comes from a long-standing family estate on the outskirts of Bordeaux. The blend of sauvignon blanc, sémillon and sauvignon gris produces an expressive white Bordeaux with moderate alcohol and lively acidity. Aromas of green apple, citrus, grapefruit and subtle tropical fruit such as pineapple are joined by floral hints and a touch of almond. On the palate the wine is fresh, medium-bodied and well balanced, combining crunchy fruit with a gentle creamy texture. It is an excellent choice with fish, seafood, light poultry dishes, salads and soft cheeses. Served lightly chilled, it also works beautifully as an aperitif.
