Château Clinet Pomerol 2021 0,75l

Château Clinet is one of the leading estates on the Pomerol plateau, with just over nine hectares of vines planted on clay and gravel soils. Merlot is the dominant grape variety, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, which add backbone and aromatic complexity. The fruit is harvested and vinified parcel by parcel, and the wine is matured in French oak barrels. The bouquet reveals ripe plum, black cherry and dark berries alongside cocoa, truffle, graphite and sweet spice. On the palate Château Clinet is rich and velvety yet remarkably precise, with dense, ripe tannins, lively acidity and a long, layered finish – a Pomerol of impressive depth and ageing potential.

Sixteen months in new oak barriques give this Pomerol fine spice and an elegant, mineral finish.

Château Clinet

On the upper reaches of the Pomerol plateau at the heart of the appellation, Château Clinet works a terroir of gravel, clay and iron‑tinged sandy elements—the famed crasse de fer influence that can deliver both density and tension. Old vines and small, distinct parcels give the estate an almost Burgundy‑like logic of precision....
