Château Rochemorin Pessac-Léognan blanc 2024 0,75l

Château de Rochemorin Blanc comes from Pessac-Léognan and forms part of the Vignobles André Lurton portfolio. Unusually for the area, the wine is often based largely, sometimes entirely, on sauvignon blanc aged on its lees in oak barrels. The nose shows citrus, lime, white peach and hints of pineapple, with notes of hazelnut, honey and gentle smokiness. On the palate it is dry, silky and energetic, combining juicy acidity with a sense of weight and texture. A salty, lingering finish underlines its gastronomic style, making it ideal for fish, shellfish, poultry and refined bistro cuisine. Served not too cold in generous glasses, it reveals even more layers of fruit and oak complexity.

Ageing on fine lees in barrique supports freshness and fruit without giving the wine a strong oak imprint.

Château Rochemorin

On the gravel crests of Martillac in Pessac‑Léognan, Château de Rochemorin stands with a name inseparable from Montesquieu, who owned the estate in the 18th century and helped champion its wines. The soils shift from deep Graves to slightly more clay-driven pockets; that diversity, tempered by nearby pine woods, sets the tone as much as the Gironde climate....
