Château Pape Clément Pessac-Léognan blanc 2018 0,75l

Château Pape Clément Blanc from Pessac-Léognan is a Grand Cru Classé and a benchmark for dry white Bordeaux. The blend of mainly Sauvignon Blanc with Sémillon and a touch of Muscadelle combines richness, exotic fruit and clear minerality. Aromas of citrus, green apple, ripe peach and tropical fruit are joined by floral hints, roasted nuts and a discreet smokiness from barrel ageing. On the palate the wine is creamy and layered, yet driven by lively acidity and a saline mineral edge. The long, vibrant finish makes it an ideal match for fine fish, seafood, poultry and refined vegetable dishes. Served slightly cool in large glasses, it reveals even more nuance and ageing potential.

Fourteen months of barrique maturation combine fresh fruit with fine oak spice and mineral tension.
