Château Rol Valentin Saint Emilion gc. gc. 2020 1,5l
Château Rol Valentin is a family-owned Saint-Émilion Grand Cru estate on clay-limestone soils at the right bank. The blend is dominated by merlot with cabernet franc and a touch of malbec, bringing both richness and spicy lift. The bouquet reveals ripe black cherries, blackberry and plum, joined by licorice, violets and hints of espresso and fine oak. On the palate the wine is creamy, dense and yet fresh, with finely grained, present tannins. Juicy fruit carries through the long finish together with cocoa and subtle herbal notes. It is a characterful Saint-Émilion that pairs beautifully with lamb, beef, slow-cooked poultry and dishes featuring mushrooms or truffle.
