Château Troplong Mondot is a major Grand Cru Classé estate in Saint-Émilion, set on one of the highest hills of the appellation. Its vineyards form a large, contiguous block on clay-limestone soils planted with merlot, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. The wine opens with intense aromas of black cherry, blackberry and plum, followed by violets, graphite, truffle notes and fine toasted spice. On the palate it is full-bodied, silky and very deep, with concentrated fruit, powerful yet polished tannins and vibrant acidity. The impressively long, complex finish makes it a benchmark choice for fine meat dishes, game and festive occasions.

Eighteen months of barrique ageing, with a high proportion of new oak, give the wine depth, polish and a clear structure.
