Domaine du Salvard Cheverny Rouge 2023 0,75l

Cheverny Rouge from Domaine du Salvard blends the delicacy of Pinot Noir with the juicy fruit of Gamay from the eastern Loire Valley. Vines on light, sandy‑limestone soils give the wine lift, freshness and finesse. The bouquet shows red cherry, strawberry and raspberry with subtle spice and earthy undertones. On the palate it is dry, supple and medium‑bodied, with fine‑grained tannins and lively acidity. Its cool, slightly peppery character recalls good Beaujolais while clearly rooted in the Loire. Cheverny Rouge is a great match for charcuterie, roast chicken, pork dishes and rustic vegetable cuisine. Served just slightly chilled, it becomes an easy‑drinking yet characterful red for everyday enjoyment.

The grape variety: Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is a refined red grape known for red cherry, raspberry, floral notes, spice and silky tannins. It is most famous in Burgundy but thrives in many cool-climate regions.

It pairs beautifully with duck, roast chicken, mushrooms, salmon, pork and game birds. Its fascination lies in finesse, fragrance and the way it expresses origin. Pinot Noir
