Groblja Vedrignano II Cru from Domaine Vicomte de Noüe‑Marinič is a powerful yet refined Chardonnay from the Ponca soils of Goriška Brda. Old vines and careful hand harvesting are followed by long ageing in ex‑Domaine Leflaive barrels and stainless steel. The bouquet combines honeysuckle, peach and grapefruit with hints of tropical fruit, butter, oatmeal and brioche. On the palate the wine is rich and layered, lifted by refreshing acidity and a pronounced saline minerality. The texture is silky and persistent, echoing fine white Burgundy while remaining clearly Slovenian. A superb partner for noble fish, shellfish, roasted poultry and creamy vegetable dishes.
