Ebner-Ebenauer Blanc de Blancs ZERO DOSAGE 2016 0,75l

Ebner-Ebenauer Blanc de Blancs Zero Dosage is a distinctive sparkling wine from Austria’s Weinviertel, made entirely from Chardonnay. The base wine is fermented and aged in used oak barrels before spending many years on the lees and being disgorged without dosage. The bouquet combines bright citrus and yellow orchard fruit with brioche, pistachio, subtle smokiness and fennel seed. On the palate it is powerful yet precise, with very fine bubbles, a chalky, saline texture and a long, herbal, bone-dry finish. A serious Champagne-style wine for fans of pure, no‑dosage brut nature. It shines as an aperitif or alongside fine seafood and delicate starters.

Fermentation in French barriques and long lees ageing give this zero-dosage sparkling wine depth, finesse and mineral tension.

Ebner-Ebenauer

In Austria’s Weinviertel, around Poysdorf, Ebner-Ebenauer turns deep family roots into a sharply modern estate—visible as a joint project since 2007. Vineyards lie on loess with limestone and, in places, ancient Danube gravels, divided into named Rieden and planted with remarkably old vines. Organic farming since 2016 and biodynamic work since 2020 keep the focus on living soils, cover crops and balance....

The grape variety: Chardonnay

Chardonnay is a globally renowned white grape from Burgundy, capable of crisp, mineral, creamy or oak-aged styles. Its flavours range from citrus and apple to peach, butter, nuts and toast.

It pairs with seafood, chicken, creamy pasta, mushrooms, lobster and soft cheeses. Chardonnay is exciting because it can be beautifully simple or profoundly complex.
