| El Coto’s Coto de Imaz Gran Reserva is a classic Rioja from selected vineyards in Rioja Alta, aged for many years in American oak and in bottle. Predominantly Tempranillo with a small proportion of traditional grapes, it displays a deep ruby colour with garnet rim. The bouquet shows blackberries, cherries and dried fruit alongside vanilla, coconut, leather and tobacco notes. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and silky, with polished tannins, balanced acidity and beautifully integrated oak. Savoury spice and earthy hints add complexity on the long finish. A refined Gran Reserva to serve with roast lamb, game and mature cheeses. | |
