El Coto’s Coto de Imaz Gran Reserva is a classic Rioja from selected vineyards in Rioja Alta, aged for many years in American oak and in bottle. Predominantly Tempranillo with a small proportion of traditional grapes, it displays a deep ruby colour with garnet rim. The bouquet shows blackberries, cherries and dried fruit alongside vanilla, coconut, leather and tobacco notes. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and silky, with polished tannins, balanced acidity and beautifully integrated oak. Savoury spice and earthy hints add complexity on the long finish. A refined Gran Reserva to serve with roast lamb, game and mature cheeses.

Long ageing in French and American oak barrels followed by bottle ageing gives the Gran Reserva depth and elegance.
