The bouquet opens with dark cherry, blackberry and blackcurrant, joined by violets, almonds and a touch of liquorice. On the palate Bricco Bastia is juicy, medium-bodied and surprisingly deep, driven by lively acidity and fine, rounded tannins. A fruity, gently savoury finish with a hint of bitter almond makes this dolcetto an easy-going yet characterful choice with antipasti, pasta, wood-fired pizza and rustic everyday dishes.
