Ewald Zweytick K3 Weissburgunder dac. 2021 0,75l

K3 Weissburgunder from Ewald Zweytick is a single-vineyard-style Pinot Blanc sourced from three hilltops around Ratsch in southern Styria and ranks among the estate’s flagship wines. The vines grow on limestone-rich opok and gravel soils, and the wine is matured in used barriques. The bouquet reveals yellow apple, pear and hints of stone fruit alongside subtle nutty and toasty notes. On the palate it is dry, dense and at the same time beautifully fine-grained, with elegant acidity and a creamy texture. Distinct minerality adds cool tension and leads into a long, harmonious finish. A highly versatile Pinot Blanc that pairs excellently with fish, poultry, risotto, pasta or refined vegetable dishes.

The grape variety: Pinot Blanc

Pinot Blanc, also called Weissburgunder, gives elegant white wines with pear, apple, citrus, almond and a smooth, fresh palate.

The variety is exciting because it is understated, versatile and highly food-friendly. Pair it with fish, poultry, pork, asparagus, risotto, creamy pasta and mild cheese.
