Faiveley Nuits Saint Georges 1c.Les Saint Georges – A true delight from Bourgogne 1er cru
Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Les Saint-Georges from Domaine Faiveley comes from one of the appellation’s most historic and highly regarded climats, often cited as a candidate for future grand cru status. Deep-rooted vines in stony, limestone soils produce Pinot Noir of remarkable depth and poise. The nose reveals black cherry, blackberry and dark spices, with floral notes and a touch of graphite. On the palate the wine is powerful and vibrant yet finely chiselled, with a long, driven line of fruit and precise minerality. Silky, tightly knit tannins carry the intense flavours into a very long, resonant finish. A great premier cru for special occasions, ideal with game, braised beef or fine cheeses.
