Grandin Brut Méthode Traditionnelle comes from the Loire and is produced by the traditional method from a selection of white grape varieties. The base wines spend at least nine months ageing on lees before disgorgement. In the glass it shows a golden colour with a fine, persistent stream of bubbles. The bouquet offers subtle dried-fruit nuances, citrus notes of lemon and grapefruit, white flowers, linden blossom and brioche. On the palate the Brut is fresh, well balanced and fruit-driven, with flavours of apple, pear and stone fruit. A versatile sparkling wine, ideal as an aperitif or with seafood, fish dishes and light starters.
Between the pale tuffeau limestone and the quiet bends of the Val de Loire, Grandin has pursued one aim since 1886: clean, exact bubbles made by Méthode Traditionnelle—no spectacle, just discipline. The Caves of La Bouvraie, once linked to royal glassworks at the Château of Ingrandes‑sur‑Loire, are more than scenery; they are a natural thermostat for long sur‑lie calm and steady prise de mousse....
