Grassl Philipp Zweigelt Rubin Carnuntum 2024 0,75l
Rubin Carnuntum from Weingut Grassl is a powerful Zweigelt bottled under the emblem of the Heidentor and a true calling card of the region. Grapes from vines up to forty‑five years old grow on warm loam and gravel soils around Göttlesbrunn. The bouquet is packed with dark berries, black cherry, blackberry and a hint of cranberry, wrapped in subtle spice. On the palate the wine is juicy and concentrated with a touch of dark fruit sweetness, firmly framed by ripe tannins and bright freshness. A long, mineral‑tinged finish with persistent dark‑berry notes makes it an excellent partner for flavourful meat dishes, roast beef, lamb or grilled vegetables and hearty stews.
Maturation in used oak barrels and tonneaux gives the Zweigelt additional spice and roundness.
