Marc de Gewurztraminer d Alsace by Hugel is a traditional pomace spirit distilled from the pressed skins of the aromatic grape. After gentle fermentation the marc is slowly distilled to capture the most subtle flavours. The nose offers spicy notes of orange peel, ginger, rose petal and dried herbs. On the palate the spirit is powerful, bone dry and very pure, with a lively backbone and a fine, bitter twist that adds grip. Long, spicy echoes linger on the finish. This marc is best enjoyed as a characterful digestif or used sparingly to complement rich desserts and strong soft cheeses. It is a striking expression of Alsatian marc that showcases both spice and clarity.
