Huguenot Marsannay rouge Champs-Perdrix 2023 0,75l

At the southern edge of Marsannay, the Champs-Perdrix vineyard is shaped by a remarkably varied limestone bedrock. Pinot Noir vines around forty-five years old grow in shallow, pale, stony soils. Hand-picked grapes are carefully sorted before oak ageing and a final period in stainless steel. Floral notes mingle with fruit and spice in a finely layered bouquet. Redcurrant, plum and black cherry stone lend character to the firm, concentrated palate. A delicate saline edge appears on the finish, adding lift and definition. Roast duck, veal or freshwater perch complement this distinctive Côte de Nuits red beautifully.

The purchase of a plot in Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru in 1967 marked a defining chapter. Now guided by Valérie and Philippe Huguenot, the estate views each climat as an individual expression of its Burgundian origins....
