This Gelber Muskateller presents the grape in an unusually serious, herbal and textured style. Daniel and Jasmin Jaunegg ferment hand-picked fruit on the skins for one week and mature the wine in used wooden cask. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with very low sulphur, it stays precise while keeping the energy natural-wine lovers seek. Rather than simple perfume, the aroma focuses on fine herbs, orange blossom, gentle spice, green apple and ripe orchard fruit. The palate is dry, slender and fresh, yet it carries notable structure and aromatic depth.
