Kollwentz Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 0,75l

Cabernet Sauvignon from Kollwentz grows in selected vineyards such as Setz and Lunzerried on the slopes of the Leithagebirge, where warm days and cool nights shape the fruit. The nose shows cassis, ripe red currants and dark berries, joined by hints of bell pepper, mint and cedar. On the palate the wine is powerful and concentrated, but remains elegant thanks to fine-grained tannins and well-balanced acidity. Oak ageing is harmoniously integrated and supports structure and depth without dominating. A long, warm and spicy finish underlines its class. This Cabernet is an ideal companion to grilled steaks, lamb, game and richly flavoured stews.

Kollwentz

On the south-facing slopes of the Leithagebirge above Großhöflein, Weingut Kollwentz Römerhof has long treated estate bottling as a principle: own vineyards, own grapes, own wine. The place is steeped in time—top sites such as Steinzeiler and Tatschler appear in records as early as 1569/1570, and the family’s documented story at the Römerhof reaches back to 1775....

The grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is a world-famous red grape producing dark, structured wines with cassis, blackberry, cedar, firm tannins and ageing potential.

The variety is exciting because it combines power with recognisable character. Pair Cabernet Sauvignon with steak, roast beef, lamb, venison, burgers, mushrooms and hard cheeses.
