Le Pin Pomerol 2023 0,75l

Le Pin from Pomerol ranks among the most coveted wines in the world, produced from a tiny vineyard planted mainly with old Merlot on gravelly, sandy soils with veins of clay. The bouquet is intensely perfumed, with raspberry preserve, plum, wild berries, rose petals and a touch of liquorice, wrapped in polished new oak. On the palate it is rich, silky and almost weightless, driven by a fleshy core of ripe, sweet fruit. Powdery, ultra-fine tannins coat the mouth without any heaviness. Lively acidity brings lift and precision and carries into a very long, aromatic finish. A truly iconic Pomerol, destined for special occasions and long-term cellaring.

French oak ageing gives the wine depth, structure and a velvety, elegant impression.

Le Pin

At the heart of the Pomerol plateau, where iron-tinged clay and veins of gravel shift within metres, Le Pin is built like a whispered legend: a micro-estate of barely two hectares, divided into a handful of plots and planted essentially to Merlot. Every row is treated as a garden—hand picked, carefully sorted, and vinified in small lots so the parcel story stays intact....

The grape variety: Merlot

Merlot is a famous red grape known for plum, black cherry, soft tannins and a smooth, rounded palate. It is central to Bordeaux and widely planted worldwide.

Its approachable structure makes it excellent with roast meats, mushrooms, tomato pasta, burgers, lamb and mild cheeses. Merlot
