Michele Chiarlo’s Barbaresco Asili comes from a renowned cru with limestone‑rich marls in the village of Barbaresco. Old Nebbiolo vines yield fruit of great purity and finesse. The bouquet is fragrant and lifted, showing wild cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant, violet and rose, along with hints of crushed stone. On the palate the wine is silky and finely etched, with precise tannins and vibrant acidity. The long finish lingers on floral notes and savoury spice. This is a poised, terroir‑driven Barbaresco that will reward patient cellaring.
