Othello Napa Valley 2020 0,75l

Othello from the historic Napanook vineyard in Napa Valley captures the finesse of a Bordeaux blend with the generosity of Californian fruit. Layers of blackcurrant, blackberry and ripe plum mingle with hints of graphite, cedar, cocoa and subtle dried herbs. On the palate the wine is dense yet poised, with juicy dark fruit and finely polished, silk-like tannins giving real precision. A vibrant, well-integrated acidity keeps the powerful structure fresh and energetic. The long finish is marked by mineral nuances and a cool, spicy lift. This expressive red is an ideal partner for braised beef, slow-cooked lamb or flavourful game dishes.

Fourteen months in French barriques give this Cabernet-led Napa wine dense tannins, depth and a mineral finish.

Othello

In California, Othello plays a quieter role inside the Dominus universe: Christian Moueix chose Napa Valley’s historic Napanook Vineyard as his stage. It’s a site rooted in the valley’s earliest plantings, where blocks and exposures are treated as distinct voices....

The grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is a world-famous red grape producing dark, structured wines with cassis, blackberry, cedar, firm tannins and ageing potential.

The variety is exciting because it combines power with recognisable character. Pair Cabernet Sauvignon with steak, roast beef, lamb, venison, burgers, mushrooms and hard cheeses. Cabernet Sauvignon
