Ott Grüner Veltliner am Berg 2025 0,75l

Grüner Veltliner Am Berg from Bernhard Ott offers an inviting introduction to the limestone-rich loess soils of Wagram. Delicate hints of white pepper frame aromas of green apple, citrus and subtle blossom herbs. On the palate the wine is taut and juicy, with pure, cool fruit and a gentle, creamy texture through the mid-palate. A lively acidity provides real drinkability and lifts the fine spice. The finish shows a discreet mineral edge that recalls the breezy hillsides around Feuersbrunn. This versatile Veltliner is an excellent match for light starters, crisp salads, marinated vegetables or fragrant Asian cuisine.

Mainly stainless steel with a portion in large Stockinger oak casks preserves clear fruit and gives the wine fine drive.

Ott

On the loess hills of Wagram, Bernhard Ott has made Feuersbrunn a reference point for Grüner Veltliner in Austria. The family’s roots here reach back to the 19th century, and since the 1990s Ott has tightened the lens on origin, farming vitality and long-lived balance....
