Plantation Barbados 5 Years is a molasses‑based golden rum aged in ex‑bourbon barrels in the Caribbean before receiving a secondary maturation in former cognac casks. The nose combines vanilla, baking spices and a touch of pipe tobacco with ripe plum, pineapple and dried fruit. On the palate it is smooth and medium‑bodied, showing baked orchard fruit, toffee, caramel and a hint of honey. Gentle notes of nutmeg, cinnamon and toasted oak provide structure and depth. The finish is medium in length, creamy and warming, with echoes of chocolate, tropical fruit and subtle oak spice. Equally enjoyable neat, on the rocks or as a refined base for classic rum cocktails.
