Poças Douro Reserva Tinto is a characterful red from selected vineyards in the Douro Valley, combining regional power with an elegant frame. Based on traditional grapes such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz, it is matured in oak to add depth and complexity. The bouquet is intense, with blackberries, dark cherries and wild berries alongside notes of violets, Mediterranean herbs and subtle toast. On the palate the wine is dense yet silky, showing ripe fruit, firm but polished tannins and a long, spicy finish. It is an excellent partner for beef, lamb, game and richly flavoured pasta dishes and works particularly well in the large-format bottle for festive occasions.
Twelve months of ageing in new Allier oak casks shapes a silky, fresh Reserva with an elegant finish.
