Rarámuri Sotol Joven Remari comes from the highlands of Chihuahua in northern Mexico. It is made from wild Dasylirion plants that need many years to reach full maturity. The hearts of the plants are slowly cooked, fermented and distilled to capture their pure character. On the nose the spirit offers a fresh, gently smoky profile with herbs, citrus and green, vegetal notes. The palate is silky, clean and expressive, showing white pepper, lime and a touch of minerality. A long, dry finish leaves lingering smoke and citrus. Enjoy it neat, on the rocks or in refined agave-based cocktails as an exciting alternative to mezcal.
