Saintayme Saint Emilion 2023 0,75l

This Saint-Émilion Grand Cru shows the accessible, elegant side of Bordeaux’s Right Bank. Château Saintayme comes from Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse and is made from Merlot. The small vineyard gives a classic, fruit-driven style with soft, ripe tannins. The nose brings black cherries, plums, flowers, cocoa, a touch of liquorice and gentle earthiness. On the palate it is medium-bodied, juicy and supple, with fresh fruit and discreet spice. It pairs especially well with beef, lamb, duck, mushroom dishes or mature hard cheese. At Vinofant, it is a reliable Bordeaux for good meals and an elegant cellar choice.

French oak ageing gives the wine structure, calm and a mineral-driven depth.

Saintayme

On Bordeaux’s Right Bank, in Saint-Émilion, Saintayme expresses the quiet authority of a compact Grand Cru site through the exacting vision associated with the Durantou family. Its vines grow in Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse, where limestone, clay and gravel give Merlot a disciplined frame and mark the warmer eastern edge of the appellation....
