Sauvion Pouilly Fumé Les Ombelles is sourced from hillside vineyards around Pouilly-sur-Loire where Sauvignon Blanc thrives on marl and compact limestone soils. The Loire’s cool, semi-continental climate gives particularly pure, smoky-mineral whites. The bouquet offers delicate citrus, green apple, white flowers and a hint of flint. On the palate the wine is dry, linear and very elegant, combining juicy fruit with a cool, stony character. Crisp, precise acidity delivers great freshness and drive.
