Sauvion Saumur Blanc L Angerie is a precise Chenin Blanc from cool Loire Valley sites. The vines are rooted in a mix of schist, clay and limestone that gives the wine its distinctive minerality. The bouquet is expressive, with notes of white and exotic fruit, floral hints and a touch of vanilla. On the palate it is slender, fresh and very approachable, showing juicy fruit and lively acidity. A gentle creaminess and subtle toasty nuances add depth and complexity. The long, aromatic finish with echoes of green apple makes this an excellent choice with fish, Asian-inspired dishes and light starters.
Cool fermentation preserves the fresh fruit aromas and the clear, lively character of the Chenin.
