| Sakura Cask is a single malt from the Kurayoshi Distillery that has been matured in casks made from Japanese cherry wood. This unusual maturation brings a sweet, floral profile with notes of cherry blossom, light fruit and gentle malt. The nose reveals blossom honey, red berries, a touch of vanilla and fresh mint. On the palate the whisky is soft and silky, showing sweet oak, delicate fruit, hints of tobacco leaf and mild spice. The medium length finish remains floral and lightly woody with a clean, lingering sweetness. An elegant and approachable Japanese single malt that works beautifully neat or in a refined highball. | |
