This single malt comes from a single Mizunara oak cask at the Kurayoshi Distillery and is bottled in very limited quantities. The Japanese oak lends a rich, full bodied character with notes of honey, acacia blossom and refined spice. On the nose floral tones mingle with vanilla, toffee and hints of oriental spices. The palate is dense yet silky, showing oak, sweet caramel cream, ripe fruit and a touch of tobacco. A long, warming finish lingers with oak, spice and gentle toffee sweetness. A distinctive single cask release for collectors and connoisseurs that shines best when enjoyed neat in a tulip glass.
