Discover the Character of Vieux Ch.Saint André Montagne Saint Emilion
Vieux Château Saint André from Montagne Saint‑Émilion is the personal estate of the Berrouet family and showcases a classic Bordeaux blend with Merlot at its core. The nose offers dark cherry, black plum and berry fruit, intertwined with notes of liquorice, graphite, tobacco and subtle earthiness. On the palate the wine is medium‑ to full‑bodied, with juicy fruit, fine spice and finely grained, still youthful tannins. Hints of leather, pepper and well‑judged oak add depth without overwhelming the fresh, lifted character. The limestone‑driven minerality gives precision and tension, making the wine complex yet approachable. It is an excellent partner for braised beef, lamb, poultry dishes or savoury recipes based on mushrooms.
