Nittnaus Zweigelt is sourced from the warm vineyards around Gols on the shores of Lake Neusiedl and is farmed according to organic principles. In the glass it shows a bright ruby hue with purple highlights. The nose opens with juicy cherry, dark berry fruit and a gentle touch of pepper, backed by subtle herbal and olive notes. On the palate this Zweigelt is lively and fruit driven while remaining charmingly light on its feet. Supple tannins and fresh, well integrated acidity create a harmonious, easy drinking style. The long, spicy and fruity finish makes it a versatile partner for classic comfort food, grilled poultry, pasta dishes and hearty vegetable cuisine.
